Almond Butter Crescents

Serves: approx. 30

Ingredients:

  • 250g plain flour
  • 70g castor sugar
  • 100g ground Almonds
  • 210g Western Star Butter, cut into cubes
  • 1 teaspoon almond essence
  • 100g white chocolate

Method:

Preheat oven to 160°C.

Put flour, sugar, almonds, almond essence and butter into a large bowl.

Rub in the butter and squeeze mixture until it forms a ball. Divide mixture into 20g round walnut sized pieces.  Shape into crescents using your hands.

Place crescents on a baking sheet and bake in preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until pale gold in colour. Lift onto a wire rack; set aside to cool. Melt the white chocolate in a bowl over a pan of hot water.

Pipe lines on top of crescents.
